Since the merger of wilton surgery into Salisbury Medical Practice it has no longer been possible to get an appointment with our GP resulting in lack of consistency of care which is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

Lie many patients I seen to need to require the services more often but have to wait but the triage system does help in many ways. Sadly I appear to fall into the category of patients who book and appointment then fail to attend. I am trying to reduce to the occasions on which it occurs.

I phoned for assistance with an appointment and spoke to a member of your team by the name of Penny. She was incredibly polite, listened to what I said and attended to my call politely, empathetically and with incredible professionalism. In the years I’ve been with this practice I find all of the staff at Salisbury Medical Practice a credit to the NHS, especially with the difficult times we have. Thank you Salisbury Medical Practice. Keep up the good work

I would just like to say that the care and treatment I received during my recent carpal tunnel operation was excellent, both from the surgeon performing the actual op and her assisting nurse, and they both helped put me at my ease as I felt rather anxious before and during the procedure.

Medical and Doctors are excellent. However, telephone system is often a nightmare to get through, in morning to make an appointment, constantly engaged, then cuts off. Needs sorting! Online appointments are rarely available also.

Nurse Sarah has healed my wound in a really expert way. I have had it for many years and she has healed it really quickly. I will miss seeing her each week as she has really lifted by spirits with her joyful nature. The chair in the nurse room! It looks like a torture chair and not easy to get on in your short like me.

I saw the triage Nurse Practioner Sarah(?) Partridge. She was professional, empathetic and helpful. She referred to my records, so she’d obviously done a quick bit of background reading which I appreciated. I felt reassured that I was significantly unwell and had made the right decision to book an appointment. Thank you

I have had a cyst for over 2 weeks medication I am taking is not working although they can operate they choose to keep giving me medication. I am not happy and I will be going to the press if it's not sorted by end of January

Phoned SMP today because next available appointment booked online would have been 8 days away which was too long to wait. Receptionist put me on the list for triage doctor to call. Spoke to Dr within a few minutes and given appointment for later in the day. Thank you for brilliant care from all the team.

I would like to say how great and thankful I am for the leg club nurses especially nurse Sarah who is lovely, patient, caring and helpful. Nurse Jamie and Natasha and Sarah used new techniques which after 11 1/2 years my legs are healing. They are unspoken heroes. I would just like to say the above nurses work way above and beyond. The nurses are always working past the end of their shifts. That's dedication.

I booked very specifically a double appointment. The receptionist confirmed double. I waited a month for this appointment (more than one thing to discuss). On arrival I had only been given 10 mins not double.

On a recent phone call to the surgery for an emergency appointment, I was totally appalled at the way that I was spoken to. The call centre operative was rude, abnoxious and I felt she could have spoken with a little more empathy. I wouldn’t have phoned if it hadn’t been necessary and to be made to feel that I was malingering was completely out of order. However, I do appreciate that your call centre can be put under pressure but nevertheless a little bit of courtesy wouldn’t have gone a miss. This is why I decided to put a none commital recommendation, which is a shame because the surgery in my mind is outstandingly excellent.

I’ve always had fabulous service from this practice. Dr Sharpe and Dr Henderson have been extremely professional and empathetic whenever I’ve felt the need to see when I’ve been unwell. Also the receptionists who have a very difficult job have been very kind and considerate. Again two ladies that stand out are Gloria and Janet. Thank you for your help.

I really don’t feel I’m being looked after. Phones not answered, results not given over phone when you do get through, lack of appointment slots, my gp is never available, online service password reset requires a visit to the practise. Awful!

I phoned up in chronic pain from an existing injury and requested an appointment or to speak to a gp for some stronger painkillers and was refused. I was told by the receptionist that I would have to email a request and wait 48 hours before collecting. They couldn’t even offer me a routine appointment despite being in chronic pain

I feel that only having one reception point for two practices is a farce! Each surgery should have it's own telephone number in which to call as this current system is not working at all.

I phoned on Monday June three times throughout the day. It was only answered on the third try. I needed a doctor appointment and a blood test appointment, neither of which I could be given....what! When I said I was in a lot of pain, the receptionist than listed my ailments. All Chronic but why did she have access to my notes? What happened to patients confidentiality. One of the illnesses she quoted, I didn’t even know I had. I am extremely angry about this. How do I complain.

Recently changed to this practice and had the most helpful staff on reception (receptionist Karen ) sorting out a missing letter from hospital, ringing me back, fantastic service well done on doing a great job, I know how stressful it can be. Thank you.

My only disappointment is the length of time taken to have a telephone call answered. Yes I am aware the receptionists are obviously very busy but I feel that a solution to this problem is way overdue. Barry McNamara
