I phoned the surgery today and after a short wait was put through to a very caring receptionist who introduced herself by name. I had a GP call back within the hour and was referred directly to Specialust team in the hospital and had a CT sap can an hour later. What amazing care!! The NHS is wonderful. Thank you to Dr Tipler for being so thorough and arranging everything so quickly. I would recommend SMP to family and friends

I needed emergency surgery and received so much help and support from all the staff at SMP. The GP got me admitted to hospital quickly, and once I was recovering from surgery at home, I received such good care from all the doctors and nurses. The service was efficient and helpful- I received really prompt support with care for my scar wound, checking my symptoms, making referrals and giving advice about recovery. I really felt looked after and reassured.

Just had my first Astra Zeneca jab at Salisbury cathedral and wanted to say what a brilliantly well organised operation. Well done to the local Gp surgery and the wider NHS. Emotional to see so many people from different organisations all pitching in. England at its best. Thank you . We have been shielding for 12 months now as my wife has Lupus so to both have our jabs today was very emotional.

So pleased with the service and support given to me by Dr Polly Jacobs. I had a niggle re a health issue , she provided appropriate investigation and then referred me to a RA specialist at hospital (the appointment came through fairly quickly too). She also advised me of her working days and said to get in touch if I had any concerns. I’ve now started treatment and feel confident I’m on right path. Thanks Dr Jacobs . ( DJ )

Dr Sharpe performed my carpal tunnel surgery. I was quite anxious beforehand. I had absolutely nothing to worry about. He and the nurse put me completely at ease, chatting to me through the entire procedure. I felt absolutely nothing, no pain or sensation at all for which I am very grateful. Then procedure was very quick. I now have a neat scar which is healing nicely.

I had an appointment earlier today 9/7/20 with a nurse called Alexandra. I would just like to say how lovely and professional she was. I'm bad with having my bloods taken and she was so friendly and put me at ease. Times like these have everyone on the edge but she made a surreal situation so much easier. She really is a credit to your surgery.

I have spoken to several advisors this week for assistance. Due to the situation we are in regarding Coronavirus, it hasn’t be possible to solve it. On Wednesday, Philip Hardy was more than helpful, courteous and professional and did as much as he could in the situation. By Friday, I still had no joy and I rang again and spoke to India. She was very professional, empathetic, courteous and apologised that the situation hadn’t been rectified. Even though this is happened, I fully appreciate EVERYONE at Salisbury Medical Practice and Tanday’s Pharmacy for their care, kindness, professionalism and continued support, especially with the very difficult situation we are all in. “A HUGE THANK YOU”

Changing from another practice in Salisbury (not related to covid-19 crisis) I was very encouraged by the help freely given by your front office staff (in this most testing of times) and their willingness to engage with me giving advice regarding my application to join your practice - I started the day frustrated and bewildered by my ex-surgery inability to provide one of the most basic doctor/patient functions (supply a prescription) and ended the day happy and reassured with helpful advice from you - thank you

I phoned to ask for advice and one of the doctors called me back within 20 minutes,he thought it would be a good idea to come in and see someone in person so right away booked an appointment for the next morning, I was seen within a few minutes of my appointment time by a friendly helpful doctor. Since the merger of wilton surgery into Salisbury Medical Practice it has no longer been possible to get an appointment with our GP resulting in lack of consistency of care which is extremely frustrating and disappointing.

She was incredibly polite, listened to what I said and attended to my call politely, empathetically and with incredible professionalism. Lie many patients I seen to need to require the services more often but have to wait but the triage system does help in many ways. Sadly I appear to fall into the category of patients who book and appointment then fail to attend. I am trying to reduce to the occasions on which it occurs.

I would just like to say that the care and treatment I received during my recent carpal tunnel operation was excellent, both from the surgeon performing the actual op and her assisting nurse, and they both helped put me at my ease as I felt rather anxious before and during the procedure.

Medical and Doctors are excellent. However, telephone system is often a nightmare to get through, in morning to make an appointment, constantly engaged, then cuts off. Needs sorting! Online appointments are rarely available also.

Nurse Sarah has healed my wound in a really expert way. I have had it for many years and she has healed it really quickly. I will miss seeing her each week as she has really lifted by spirits with her joyful nature. The chair in the nurse room! It looks like a torture chair and not easy to get on in your short like me.

I would like to say how great and thankful I am for the leg club nurses especially nurse Sarah who is lovely, patient, caring and helpful. Nurse Jamie and Natasha and Sarah used new techniques which after 11 1/2 years my legs are healing. They are unspoken heroes. I would just like to say the above nurses work way above and beyond. The nurses are always working past the end of their shifts. That's dedication.

I booked very specifically a double appointment. The receptionist confirmed double. I waited a month for this appointment (more than one thing to discuss). On arrival I had only been given 10 mins not double.

On a recent phone call to the surgery for an emergency appointment, I was totally appalled at the way that I was spoken to. The call centre operative was rude, abnoxious and I felt she could have spoken with a little more empathy. I wouldn’t have phoned if it hadn’t been necessary and to be made to feel that I was malingering was completely out of order. However, I do appreciate that your call centre can be put under pressure but nevertheless a little bit of courtesy wouldn’t have gone a miss. This is why I decided to put a none commital recommendation, which is a shame because the surgery in my mind is outstandingly excellent.

I’ve always had fabulous service from this practice. Dr Sharpe and Dr Henderson have been extremely professional and empathetic whenever I’ve felt the need to see when I’ve been unwell. Also the receptionists who have a very difficult job have been very kind and considerate. Again two ladies that stand out are Gloria and Janet. Thank you for your help.

I really don’t feel I’m being looked after. Phones not answered, results not given over phone when you do get through, lack of appointment slots, my gp is never available, online service password reset requires a visit to the practise. Awful!

I phoned up in chronic pain from an existing injury and requested an appointment or to speak to a gp for some stronger painkillers and was refused. I was told by the receptionist that I would have to email a request and wait 48 hours before collecting. They couldn’t even offer me a routine appointment despite being in chronic pain

I phoned on Monday June three times throughout the day. It was only answered on the third try. I needed a doctor appointment and a blood test appointment, neither of which I could be given....what! When I said I was in a lot of pain, the receptionist than listed my ailments. All Chronic but why did she have access to my notes? What happened to patients confidentiality. One of the illnesses she quoted, I didn’t even know I had. I am extremely angry about this. How do I complain.
