Flu and COVID-19 Vaccinations

vaccination (1)

We have starting inviting eligible patients for their flu vaccination. We will have large Saturday flu vaccine clinics from Saturday 5th October as well as clinics during the week. If you are also eligible for the Autumn COVID-19 vaccine, we will aim to offer this on the Saturday clinics in the same visit.

We will be inviting patients via text with booking links where possible. If you cannot use the link or have not received this, you can email us at bswicb.smp@nhs.net or call us when the telephone lines are quieter, after 5pm.

You can get the free NHS flu vaccine if you:

  • are aged 65 or over
  • have certain long-term health conditions (click here to view: https://www.nhs.uk/vaccinations/flu-vaccine/)
  • are pregnant
  • live in a care home
  • are the main carer for an older or disabled person, or receive a carer's allowance
  • live with someone who has a weakened immune system
  • frontline health and social care workers can also get a flu vaccine through their employer

We will also be holding dedicated COVID-19 vaccine clinics during weekdays and Saturdays from Thursday 3rd October – these are available to anyone who is eligible (not just our registered patients). The NHS will contact you if you are eligible. These clinics can be booked via the national booking service which opens later in September.

Please support your surgery by booking your vaccinations with us.
