Changes to Appointment System

We have listened to patient feedback and made changes to our appointment system. Some changes have been already implemented and others will require a little more time to set up. You are now able to book a routine telephone appointment in advance, up to two weeks ahead.

This will be a telephone appointment as we have found this extremely effective in dealing with patient health and saves our patients time attending the Practice. During the call, if you need to be seen face to face, the GP will invite you in on the same day. If you booked a morning telephone appointment, if the GP needs to see you they will invite you in the same morning. If you booked an afternoon telephone appointment, if the GP needs to see you they will invite you in the same afternoon.

Please call between 9am – 6pm to book in a routine telephone appointment with a GP.

We do ask that you call as early in the day as possible if you have an urgent problem, defined as a new or worsening existing medical problem that requires same day attention. You will be called by our Clinical Support Team of GPs and our Paramedic, who will invite you in if required. If you are requesting a home visit, please call before 11am.

Please help us to help you by giving brief, concise details to the reception team so that they can get you the help you need.

Face to face Nurse appointments eg. smear tests or blood tests are bookable up to 2 weeks ahead.

We are also looking to promote the use of online consultations; this is going to take some time, but we will post regular updates regarding a new online system on our website and social media pages.

Thank you for your ongoing patience and support during this extremely difficult time.
